Across Ethiopia’s Somali Region, weekly Radio Listener Groups (RLGs) are bringing communities together to listen, reflect, and discuss issues that matter most. What starts as a radio program grows into meaningful conversations that challenge harmful social norms, strengthen community understanding, and inspire collective action.
Families, religious leaders, women, men, and young people are choosing dialogue over silence and facts over misconceptions. Together, they are helping to protect girls from female genital mutilation (FGM) and child, early, and forced marriage (CEFM), while creating opportunities for every girl to grow up healthy, stay in school, and achieve her full potential.
