Population Media Center–Ethiopia (PMC-E) invites creative and experienced TikTok content creators to apply for a freelance opportunity. If you enjoy telling stories, connecting with audiences, and creating content that inspires positive change, we would love to hear from you.
About PMC-E
PMC-E uses storytelling to inspire positive social and behavior change. Through radio, television, and digital platforms, we engage communities to promote health, human rights, and gender equality, with particular attention to women and girls.
About the Role
The Freelance TikTok Content Creator and Producer will plan, produce, edit, and publish engaging short-form videos that strengthen PMC-E’s digital presence and support its social and behavior change goals.
You will bring stories to life on issues such as gender-based violence (GBV), female genital mutilation (FGM), child marriage, women’s empowerment, and youth engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative video concepts, scripts, and storyboards that connect with the intended audiences.
- Produce, edit, and publish high-quality, original TikTok videos.
- Manage and grow PMC-E’s TikTok account, which currently has around 35,000 followers.
- Host TikTok Live sessions that encourage audience participation and meaningful discussion as needed.
- Work closely with PMC-E’s Communications and Marketing team to align content with project goals and key messages.
- Follow safeguarding and ethical storytelling standards, including informed consent and respect for the privacy and dignity of everyone featured.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- An active TikTok account with at least 250,000 followers.
- Proven experience creating original, engaging TikTok content.
- Strong video production and editing skills.
- The ability to turn sensitive social issues into clear, respectful, and relatable stories.
Knowledge of gender equality, GBV, FGM, child marriage, and women’s rights are an advantage.
