SBC Alliance

the social behavior change (SBC) alliance was formed on Aug 30,2022 in the presence of key founders at Addis Ababa University (6 Killo Ras Mekonen Hall). Founding members of the alliance were: BBC Media Action, Population Media Center (PMC), Girl Effect (Yegna), Ethiopian Health Education and Promotion Professional Association (EHEPA), VIAMO and Ethiopian Human Right Commission. The opening remark was addressed by Rachana Sharma (UNICEF) and Liya Haile (Girl Effect) and later officially launched by Jane (UNICEF). At the launching ceremony wide range of papers were presented by different speakers and SBC specialists.  Besides, comedian Eshetu Melese (Donkey Tube) made presentations on “creating for Change”. He spoke on his future plan to engage media to preparing today’s kid and young girls for better future, cross cultural communication and peace building and conflict   resolutions. .

Finally, for the coming one-year EHEPA and Girl Effect were elected to serve the alliance as Chair and vice chair.
