Over the past two years, our steadfast commitment has earned us numerous certificates and letters of appreciation, highlighting our unwavering support for governmental, non-governmental organizations and schools.
Financial and Material Contributions
A Force for Good In response to urgent needs, Population Media Center Ethiopia Country Office staff contributions and PMC HQ support has allocated over 1.2 million ETB to provide essential financial assistance to areas affected by drought and communities displaced by conflicts. Our dedication extends beyond financial support; we have generously provided soft copies of radio serial dramas, along with a diverse range of books and booklets, to institutions such as the Federal Prison Administration and SNNPR Plan and Development Bureau. Moreover, we’ve distributed more than 12,000 books and booklets to various government and non-governmental organizations, and schools including the ABRIHOT Library, Federal Prison Commission, Ethiopia National Archives and Libraries Agency, Women and Girls Support Ethiopia, among others, valued at over 5 million ETB. This commitment has earned us certificates of appreciation, acknowledging the significant impact of our contributions.
Multilingual Literary Enrichment
Our commitment to cultural inclusivity and education is reflected in our diverse collection of books, written in languages such as Amharic, Afan Oromo, Tigrinya, Afar, and Somali.
Empowering Women’s Health and Education:
Championing the Provision of Sanitary Pads and Mini-Media Items
PMC recognize the vital importance of women’s health, and actively support it by providing sanitary pads to women and girls in various project woredas and schools. In addition, PMC has generously donated items worth more than 2 million ETB, including Montarbo amplifiers, across 13 woredas where the Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) project is making a significant impact.
